Introductions and Commentaries on the Megilloth 5278

On the initiative of the United Bible Societies, and with the sponsorship of the German Bible Society which has specialresponsibility for the publication of scientific editions, the first fascicles of a new edition of Biblia Hebraica are now reaching publication. Part 18, the first installment of the complete edition, is now available and contains the General Introduction and the Megilloth. This is a manual edition (editio minor) in the Biblia Hebraica tradition, produced for serious students of the Hebrew Bible. It aims to provide them with a clear presentation of the surviving evidence of the text’s transmission that is relevant for translation and exegesis.
